Caorle / Cities

Caorle is located 20 kilometers east of Jesolo, about half way between Eraclea Mare and Bibione. Day trips from Jesolo to Caorle are always worth making, though Caorle in itself is a destination to be discovered for the entire duration of a vacation. The ancient town of Caorle was founded by the Romans, in the first century B.C. However, much of the historical heritage (the Cathedral of Saint Stephen, the Church of the Blessed Virgin), chiefly clustered in the historical district of Caorle, is overshadowed, from a tourist point of view, by the splendid beaches on the coast and by the local nature attractions.

The beaches of Caorle are excellently fitted for both sunbathing and sports activities. Speaking of sports, scuba diving and biking, for instance, are two of the main coordinates of an active vacation spent in Caorle. On top of that, tourists are also advised to visit the charming Isola dei Casoni, a place full of traditions and sea flavors where the eye and the palate alike will delight in spectacular opportunities. Two water parks can be furthermore spotted in Caorle, and they do not only enrich the fun moments, but, by their family-oriented character, provide an ideal leisure opportunity for the grownups and the children alike.
